The IGY6; Women’s Equine Event
On March 2, 2024, The IGY6; Foundation brought together an incredible group of veteran women for a memorable weekend filled with horses, outdoor adventures, laughter, and meaningful connections during our Women’s Equine Event.
Surrounded by horses and the peaceful outdoors, we had a wonderful opportunity to step away from everyday responsibilities, enjoy new experiences, and spend quality time with others who understand the importance of connection and support. From the moment the weekend began, it was all about enjoying the experience, building friendships, and making memories together.
More Than Just Horses
While spending time around horses was a highlight of the weekend, we also enjoyed other exciting activities that made the experience even more special. One of those activities was outdoor shooting, giving everyone an opportunity to get outside, try something different, and enjoy some friendly camaraderie.
Throughout the weekend, we shared plenty of laughs, conversations, and unforgettable moments. Whether we were spending time with the horses, participating in outdoor activities, or simply relaxing and enjoying each other's company, there was something meaningful about being able to slow down and appreciate the moment.
Camping throughout the weekend added another special element to the experience. Being outdoors together created opportunities to share stories, strengthen friendships, and enjoy the kind of genuine connections that can be difficult to find in the busyness of everyday life.
The Power of Connection
At The IGY6; Foundation, we believe outdoor experiences can provide valuable opportunities for personal growth, confidence, and connection. Activities like working around horses and participating in outdoor recreation allow people to challenge themselves, explore new interests, and build relationships in a welcoming environment.
Our Women’s Equine Event was a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful experiences come from simply trying something new, stepping outside our comfort zones, and surrounding ourselves with people who encourage and support us.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make this weekend such a great experience. The friendships built, the laughter shared, and the memories created are what make these events so special.
