The IGY6; Range & Yoga Day

On March 12, 2022, The IGY6; Foundation brought together veterans and first responders for a unique day focused on personal growth, focus, and well-being through range time, yoga, and trauma recovery support.

While these activities may seem different, each offers an opportunity to build awareness, develop discipline, and invest in personal well-being.

Strength Through Balance

Range time emphasizes focus, patience, safety, and discipline, while yoga encourages mindfulness, breathing, flexibility, and reconnecting with yourself. Together, these activities provided opportunities to challenge ourselves, slow down, and explore different ways to support our overall well-being.

For veterans and first responders, finding healthy ways to manage stress and navigate life's challenges is important. Experiences like these encourage participants to explore new interests, build relationships, and make time for themselves.

Special Thanks to Dr. J. Royster

We were grateful to have Dr. J. Royster spend time with our group and provide our veterans and first responders with the T.R.I.P. (Trauma Recovery Intervention Protocol).

Having the opportunity to participate in this trauma-focused intervention added another meaningful element to the day. We appreciate Dr. Royster's time and dedication to supporting those who have served our country and communities.

At The IGY6; Foundation, we recognize that supporting veterans and first responders means more than organizing outdoor activities. It also means creating opportunities for connection, personal growth, and access to supportive resources that can help individuals along their journeys.

Stronger Together

Range & Yoga Day was about bringing people together and recognizing that strength comes in many forms. Sometimes, it's about maintaining focus and challenging yourself. Other times, it's about slowing down, taking a breath, and allowing yourself the opportunity to work through life's challenges.

These shared experiences help build camaraderie, strengthen relationships, and remind our community that no one has to face life's challenges alone.

Continuing Our Mission

Our mission is to help veterans and first responders explore the positive impacts of outdoor activities, build meaningful connections, and find renewed purpose.

We're thankful to everyone who participated and especially grateful to Dr. J. Royster for sharing his time and providing the T.R.I.P. intervention to our group.

At The IGY6; Foundation, we believe that caring for those who serve means supporting the whole person — through connection, outdoor experiences, and opportunities for growth and recovery.

Find your focus. Find your balance. Keep moving forward.
